Father Joseph O'Connell Council has contributed over $26,000.00 to Seminarians
and Priests. As Father Michael J. McGivney, our founder and a Venerable
Servant of God, had stood firm in strengthening support to our Families,
we too have stood firm in support of our Seminarians and Priests
and they have become part of our family in faith.

"Father Jim" Weekend A Success
Father Jim's Weekend on November 21st, 22nd and 23rd was a huge success as we raised in excess of $6,000 towards the purchase of a "Jeep" for Father Jim McCloskey, our brother who is a Maryknoll Missionary in Bolivia. Father "Joe" Council did it again! It once again proves that when we ask our members and friends to contribute towards a worthwhile project such as this, we know they will come through.
PGK Frank Ford and Joe Garay directed the Nite at the Races Nov. 21st, with their staff. Our Worthy Recorder Brother Hank Kiesche and his staff took care of Fifties Nite Nov. 22nd, while our Warden Jack Sloan and Treasurer George Serviss and their staff did the finale at our Cocktail Party on Nov. 23rd. Bro. Joe Giunta and his staff contributed the profits of the Lounge receipts to the Father Jim Fund and all the personnel who worked the 3 affairs were unpaid volunteers. A fitting tribute to our Worthy Brothers and Ladies Auxiliary. Well Done!
